The Rapids is looking for a pool manager.  Please consider supporting your community in this way. We hire a company to oversee the pool everyday during pool season but still need someone to be the point of contact for the neighborhood. Message me or any other board member for details.
Don't forget garage sale listings in the area are listed under garage sales on left hand menu for members.
Our January Newsletter was published and is on line!
We have a safe and beautiful neighborhood. The RPOA is run with the future in mind with excellent planning and maintenance. We have beautiful custom homes and well kept landscape. Thank you neighbors for working so hard to keep this Neighborhood !
As the pool season will quickly arrive, the Rapids still requires a resident to take on the duties during the next 2 weeks as Pool manager this year and be the point of contact for the neighborhood to the company that oversees the pool daily when it is open.  Please consider this important job that will not take a large abundance of time – the previous manager will still be available to provide guidance during and after the transition.  Contact Ashley Miller for details.
FULL UpPDATE:  Please see the newsletter for January 2018 for full updates under newsletter link on the menu at left side of home page.
New residents - if you have not received a Welcome Package, please contact your Street Representative are listed at the end of the Newsletter.
I am looking forward to another productive year serving as your RPOA President.  I’d like to thank CJ Bigger for her years of service on the board and her vast contributions to this community.  The board also thanks the dedication and hard work from previous and last year board members and volunteers Bob Clark, Daryl Smoldt, Richard Loftin, John Oliver, and John Bigger.  We welcome Sam Tolbert to the board as this year’s VP and look forward to his new ideas and contributions.  I would also like to thank the other board members, officers, and committee chairmen continuing this year for their significant accomplishments and volunteer efforts. The Board is committed to our 2018 goals of continuing to improve our community infrastructure, grounds, and facilities; maintaining or increasing property values for our residents; keeping our members informed about neighborhood issues; and being a good steward of Association funds.  As emphasized at our annual meeting in December, the Board will continue to increase communication within our community.  In addition to information sharing through emails, newsletters, and our RPOA website, we are planning to establish a closed RPOA Facebook page that can be used to share pertinent and immediate community information.  Specific rules and implementation process will be published in the near future.  As Board members, we are representing you, the Rapids Property Owners Association.  It is a valuable and rewarding experience to have the opportunity to serve you, our fellow residents, while maintaining a strong sense of community relations and protecting the value of our homes and Association owned assets. Remember that the Board and committee members are community volunteers serving the residents.  There are many areas to participate and we are always in need of help and volunteers to lead and help in our various ongoing projects and repairs.  Please contact a board member if you are able and willing to assist, volunteer, or provide expertise in a certain area. We are looking forward to a prosperous new year and executing the 2018 neighborhood renovations and improvements approved by the association at our annual meeting in December.  The board is continuously reviewing and updating a multi-year project and maintenance plan.  I will periodically send out a survey (via email) to get community inputs on specific ideas to help future planning (i.e. level of interest in a larger or additional pool including options to fund this).  This year’s approved projects include replacing club house windows/door that are rotting, tennis court resurface/repair, replacing failed swimming pool salt generator, front entrance landscaping, and upper Seton Circle landscaping.    Please contact me or a board member with your concerns and suggestions. Ken Beck, President RPOA
